APPARATUS

The North Sea Fire Department operates a diverse fleet of apparatus, each designed for a specific job when the alarm sounds. Our engines handle most fire responses, supplying water and hose lines. Our pumper supports hydrant operations and sustained fire flow. We have two brush trucks for fires in wooded or off-road areas, a heavy rescue for vehicle extrications and technical incidents, and specialized fire police units to secure scenes and manage traffic.

Because of North Sea’s unique waterfront geography, we also operate both small and large boats for water-based emergencies and marine support. Our fleet includes one of the largest tanker trucks on Long Island, giving us the ability to move large volumes of water where hydrants are limited.
